"Afam" by the way in gay lingo, means foreigner. Heniwei, I was in Tips and Toes, Greenbelt 1 this afternoon. To my great surprise, 70% of their customers who had an appointment or went in to inquire were caucasian women. Have I been in ghetto L.A. (Lower Antipolo) for so long that I haven't noticed the influx of foreigners in Makati, whether as tourists or expats?
One woman's phone rang, and in her english accent answered, "Oh, you're in England?" Lol. The next customer who took her seat was a French woman I think, with her boyfriend. I felt like a tourist in my own country.
Nevertheless, it's good to hear that they like it here and even considered to live in Manila despite the obvious poverty, pollution and incompetent government. ;p
