Menegurl in wonderland.

No, I didn't shrink like Alice. I just happened to dine at the Mondrian's Asia de Cuba, along fancy Sunset Blvd.. The Mondrian is a boutique hotel that belongs to the Morgan Hotels Group. Their restaurant, Asia de Cuba, serves Asian-Latino cuisine with a Philippe Starck ambiance. My favorite spot - the trellis with the huge terra cotta pots. Fantastic!

My sister and I were so excited for our fancy Saturday brunch. We ordered duck tacos with avocado for appetizer, pepperoni pizza, and a huge banana split for dessert. We wanted to order fancier dishes, but they only offered a special menu for dinner. Their breakfast and lunch were pretty much the usual salad-sandwich-pizza menu.

Here's the clincher. Much to our dismay - we saw a similar object on the taco and the pizza, of a different color and length. Uuuugghhhhh........!!!!!!!! And much worse, we were too hungry to complain and have it replaced. LOL! Don't worry, we didn't eat that one particular taco and that one particular pizza slice. Pathetic, I know. So sad!

Anyway, we just took a lot of photos and gorged on the delicious dessert to make up for that gross incident. :-p.

Good thing we had dinner that night with my cousins at Picanha. Eat-all-you-can Brazilian steaks! Y U M M Y !
