Nanette and Gino, my very good old friends got hitched last Friday at the Guadalupe Church. It was a beautiful wedding.. so surreal to have one of your closest friends actually become a real adult. When the bride entered the church, it wasn't as emotionally overwhelming as seeing the groom cry. Lol.

The reception was held at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. I must say the place was really sophisticated - a lot better than the other country club weddings I've been to. And the food? Surprisingly really good! We all had a blast. It was an experience that's definitely one for the books. ;) Tricia "caught the bouquet" but Celine wore the garter. Hmmm... so who's next?!

Just in time for the wedding was the movie "27 Dresses" starring Katherine Heigl. How convenient. Well so far this is my first bridesmaid dress, plus I had a previous maid of honor dress. (Who's asking?) I saw the premiere Tuesday evening at the Power Plant with my best friend, Bun. It was cute, but I guess I'm just not a fan of chick flicks, or Katherine. Some scenes were kind of corny and the story was just too typical and cheesy. (Or maybe that's just me being bitter, lol.) I prefer the screenwriter's previous movie, "The Devil Wears Prada." In the movie, Katherine's character is always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Ouch. And she too would rather see the groom's face when his bride walks down the aisle. Awww. Blech. Lol. The story is pretty much predictable. Watch it na lang. I'm sure most of you will love it. Marco, my friend, actually liked it better then Cloverfield. Huh?

By the way, this is what I got the couple from Redenvelope.com. It's a wall gallery wooden frame. Although what they asked in their registry were mostly appliances, they both LOVED the gift. Yey!

Eye love it when grooms cry.
I'm actually surprised that Katherine became an It girl. She's quite random. But I guess when Vanity Fair puts you on the cover it means something.
I knowrr.. in the movie, I saw that few of her front teeth were like gray and semi crooked. Hihi. But she seems nice.
"Wakwak"? what a pitiful name for a village/country club: a Filipino verb that loosely translates to being ravaged and mercilessly torn to shreds. unless, of course, you're referring to Wack Wack. :)
oh, and i stand by my "i'll take 27 dresses, anytime over cloverfield." you should have been with me, when i watched cloverfield yesterday. i was laughing for all the wrong reasons, and apparently, so were the other enlightened fools inside the cinema. i'm rarely dismissive of films--heck, i enjoyed "Harold & Kumar"!--but cloverfield is just DUMB.
Sorry po. I edited it na :p. LOL!
Well, I so wanted kasi to watch "27 Dresses" and I was just disappointed on the plot and dialouges. But now I want to watch Cloverfield to see how dumb it really is. Lol.
I think Cloverfield is straightforwardly uneventful. It shouldn't have been a movie. I think they took the "What you see is what you get" motto too far.
27 Dresses naman I found entertaining. Even if the script was kinda chessy. But like all chick flicks, they're meant to be that way.
Ma-blog nga ito.
Fine. I won't waste my money on Cloverfield then. I heard kasi it was a hit in the U.S.
mene..we loooooove ur gift!!! i cant wait to use it..goodluck na lang kay gino sa pag assemble hahahaha.=)
