Today was errand day. I hardly go out of the house, so when I do, I make sure I gather all errands and accomplish them in one day.. and be home before rush hour. Yah, I know. Lazy ass.
My first stop was the renewal of my driver's license. I want to blog about this because not everyone I know seems to have gone to the LTO "One-Stop-Shop" to renew their license. I went to Robinsons Metro East Supermarket to renew mine. The other outlets are found in Fairmart Cubao, Araneta Caloocan, Metropoint Pasay, Ayala MRT, and Ayala Alabang. I must say I was impressed. Although I've read that the fastest time one was able to renew their license was 30 minutes, I accomplished mine in an hour. Not bad! Coz the last time I renewed my license, it took me 2 f*cking days! So it definitely beats renewing your license at the LTO main office, where it's not only hot and humid but quite exposed as well to sneaky people lurking around, wanting some lagay. Waiting in an airconditioned mall is much much better. Plus the people were genuinely friendly and helpful. When I had my medical, the guy offered to clean the C.R. before I used it. Plus another guy offered me isopropyl alcohol for my hands, without waiting for me to ask for some. Or maybe they were just nice coz I was a girl. Lol. The renewal of non-pro plus medical cost around Php600, considering you don't have any other penalties or special requests. Thank God for this system... it's good to know these people are doing their job.
Anyhoo, I then dropped by #13 Examiner St. near Quezon Ave. to donate some old clothes and stuff. Once a year, I clean out my room and closet and give all unwanted items to household helpers or sell them at a garage sale (if any of my friends were having one). This year, I decided to give them to the poor since recently many people have become homeless due to house fires around Manila. I'm blogging about this so you would be inspired to do the same as well :). There are many charities where you can donate old clothes to or you can do them on your own. I chose one that helped victims of calamities (Sagip Kapamilya).
When all my other errands were done I headed to Power Plant for my last stop. I had my eyebrows done in Emphasis by my "secret weapon," Mae. Believe me, that was one priceless beauty tip. Lol. Then I checked out Zara, which still had their sale going on. I bought a nice dark brown tweed coat with a waist belt and a fabulous collar at 67% off. Sows, hindi pa 70. It was the collar that made me want to buy something I did not need right now. Lol.
