A very American Christmas.

I got a package today. I never really do get packages. But when you get one as big as this?! Even if the contents aren't for me, but for family and friends, I felt soooper excited to open it!



I have always been a fan of Red Envelope (.com). It was my major inspiration back in the myAyala-web-designing days. Aside from admiring their unique yet expensive items, I have also always wanted to get one of those red gifts with the pretty ribbon. There is that sense of elegance in them that makes you want to buy one regardless of the price.

So when I got their usual bargain emails that I often ignore back in Manila, I just could not resist the 2-day 30% Christmas SALE! It's like buying a $100 wedding gift for a dear friend plus getting a free $50 holiday gift for my sister. Wow!



And so I ordered online... like how Americans normally do. (Good thing they accept international credit cards.) What's inside the red box? I got my pregnant sister a baby prints frame. It holds the baby photo and molds of hand and foot. Cute! And as soon as I got the package, I placed it right beside the poinsettias by the fireplace... such a pretty American picture... and took photos - very Manilenyo indeed. Lol.
