The new pin-up girls.

I always thought bikinis were getting smaller and smaller by the year, but I never thought they'd actually go higher. Fashion, as we all know, recycles styles from the past decades. This 2008, Victoria's Secret swimwear collection includes a reinvention of the 1940's and 50's corset-like swimsuits and high-waist bikinis.

They may look hot on the models, but I doubt I can ever pull one off... especially with a not so flat tummy - unless it's tight enough to serve as a girdle, why not. Lol. So for now, I'd rather go for the safer ones.

Bikinis have always been my favorite swimwear, but sometimes it seems like the less fabric I'm wearing, the less stylish I feel. That's why I considered buying a one-piece swimsuit recently (featured in a few blog entries back). I believe the last one-piece swimsuit I bought was a black Speedo for my swim class in Philippine Sports Plaza. Lol. We have sexier one-piece styles nowadays, so one can have more options from the usual string bikinis, halters, bandeaus, etc. The one shoulder suits, which are hot hot hot by the way, are by Cia Maritima and Shay Todd.

Last but not the least, I'm loving them metallics - bikini or not! These glamorous fabrics reflect colors of the sun, sand and sea and make you look dazzling hot this summer.
