Weekend in Anilao.

Someone has been very busy. Last weekend though was a good break - bitin, but good enough. My friends and I spent the weekend in Anilao, at a friend's (Hi Tonito :)) place called Pawikan. I've been to Pawikan several times and have had fond memories there.

What I like about Pawikan is that you have the place, 3 casitas and more, all to yourself (aside from the housekeepers of course). You can either relax at the casitas overlooking the rocky Anilao beachfront and Sombrero island or go snorkeling, kayaking (that's me and my friend Tonito kayaking in the Sombrero sunset photo below), and of course diving - although none of us really dive when we come visit. Food and meals is something we have to prepare ourselves. Cooking is something we don't mind doing for every meal since there really is not much else to do but relax and sunbathe. There's no TV and internet as well - only our iPod music. Swell.

The last time I was in Pawikan, we did not have any close neighbors except for El Pinoy and Solana which were nearby. This time we had Azure right beside us. Although it may seem safer to know there are people on the other side of the fence, it does kind of feel weird to hear other people's voices and laughter at times. (As long as they're human laughs, I wouldn't mind. Lol.)

Vivere is a hotel in Alabang, and they recently opened their resort in Anilao which they named Azure. We dropped by to check out the place at sunset - and wow, I was impressed! They had a nice restaurant overlooking the sea, a spa lounge that had a beautiful as in speechless, jaw-dropping panoramic view of the sunset and infinity pool, and a tree house!!! I've never been in a tree house before, but I believe this would be the best tree house ever. They pretty much had several nice spots to hang out, make muni-muni, and enjoy the serene sunset.

At least now we know we can get a massage next time, or dine next door for a change.
